Hunting Lodges In Saskatchewan

I have spent the last four summers at lodges in Saskatchewan. I have found some really beautiful places.

I stayed at Safari River Outdoors in Saskatoon four years ago. It was the first of the Saskatchewan lodges I stayed at.

Safari River Outdoors is so beautiful. It is one of the prettiest lodges I’ve ever seen. It is built at the confluence of the Beaver River and the Meadow River.

I was not sure if lodges had the amenities that I’ve come to expect on vacation, but I was not disappointed. The log cabin that I stayed in with my friends was very comfortable.

The lodges that I like best have really nice views. I was also impressed with the sense of community that was conveyed at the Pickerel Bay Cabins in La Ronge, Saskatchewan. There was a centrally located cookout area to encourage guests to cook and eat together.

Hunting lodges like Pickerel Bay Cabins offer a very personal experience. I liked the attention to detail during my stay there. This is one of the lodges that have decided that small is better and limit the number of guests accordingly.

The lodges at Oliver Lake in Prince Albert are all pretty nice. The standout lodge is the Oliver Lake Wilderness Lodge. I highly enjoyed staying



as their guest.

When I stayed at the Oliver Lake Wilderness Lodge, I chose to stay in one of the lodges’ cabins. The cabins all face Oliver Lake and sunrise was so incredibly beautiful.

Visiting lodges continued to be my summer theme this year when I visited Lawrence Bay Lodge in Toina, Saskatchewan. I have never had such a wonderful breakfast in all my life.

While I was staying at Lawrence Bay Lodge, I took advantage of the fishing at Reindeer Lake. I caught a delicious Walleye and the cook, like most you find at lodges, cooked it for me and the other lodge guests.
